Cutlers’ Hall Tour, Fri 5 June 2026, 11am – 12.30pm, £15 (30 places), Cutlers' Hall
To coincide with Goldsmiths' Centre's The Culture of Cutlery exhibition we are pleased to offer the opportunity to visit Cutlers' Hall in the City of London. On this visit you will learn about the history of the Company and its current Hall built in 1888, adorned on the outside with a finely carved terracotta frieze illustrating cutlers working at their craft.
The tour will take you into Court Room, Livery Hall with its Victorian hammer beam roof, as well as the collection of silver, artefacts, historical swords and cutlery. The cutlery collection ranges from Stone Age tools to the cutlery of today, from the cheapest of mass produced knives to exquisite items of gold and ivory encrusted with jewels.
