Jewellery Foundation Programme Open Days, Sat 31 January, 7 or 21 March 2026, 11am or 1pm, Free, The Goldsmiths’ Centre

Have you ever thought about working in the jewellery and precious metals industry? If you’re over 18, passionate about working with your hands, and looking to turn that passion into a career, our Jewellery Foundation Programme could be the perfect fit. Join us for our Open Day at the Goldsmiths’ Centre in London to discover how this one-year, full-time training programme can help you to take the first step toward a rewarding future in jewellery-making.

Our Jewellery Foundation Programme is designed to provide you with the essential skills and knowledge to succeed in the jewellery industry. Taught by experienced professionals, it offers hands-on training in our fully equipped workshops and classrooms at the Goldsmiths’ Centre. Whether you’re a recent A-Level or T-Level graduate or eager to begin your journey, this programme offers everything you need to start working as a goldsmith, diamond mounter or setter.

What to expect at the Open Day:

  • Explore our facilities: Take a guided tour of our workshops and classrooms, where you’ll develop practical skills and learn about the tools and techniques used in the trade.
  • Meet the team: Speak with some of our professional training team members to gain insight into what it’s like to study on the programme and the opportunities it can unlock.
  • Learn more about the programme: Discover how the Jewellery Foundation Programme supports emerging jewellers and offers pathways into the trade, including the Goldsmiths’ Company Apprenticeship Scheme.
  • Get your questions answered: Learn about the application process, course structure, and what we look for in candidates.

Our Open Day is tailored for prospective applicants who are serious about pursuing a career in jewellery. To maintain a focused and informative experience, attendance is limited and prioritised to those interested in applying - accompanying guests may not be able to join the full tour.
